Michel ABELLO has a double major in science and law : - Engineer of the Ecole Centrale Paris (1992) He worked for 12 years as a Patent Attorney (patents, trademarks and industrial designs) with several firms (Nony, Weinstein, Loyer), of which the PEUSCET firm he managed for 4 years before being admitted to the Paris Bar in 2003. He is a law teacher at Ecole Centrale Paris since 1996 and is teaching at CEIPI in Strasbourg since 1999. He teached at the Paul Roubier Center in Lyon from 2003 to 2007. He participated as a speaker to many congresses and conferences, particularly as an expert in Licensing with the World Intellectual Property Organization. He is a member of the main specialised professional bodies in Intellectual Property (AIPPI, EPI, FJPI, LES, UNION) and a founding member and secretary of the FRANCAVOKA network. He has been a member of the evaluation panel in Industrial Property (patents) of the FPO from 2001 to 2006. He is a member of the legal commission of the CURIE association dealing with the valorisation of research and technology transfer, since 2005.
Michel ABELLO speaks and writes fluent English, and Italian and reads German and Spanish
In 1992 he wrote a thesis on the protection of patent texts by copyrights. This thesis is available at the library of the Research Institute in Intellectual Property (IRPI)
He participated in many conferences organised by Agoranov, ASPI, CURIE, ECP, Ecole Chimie Paris, ENSTA, INRIA, the Ministries of Research of France, Russia, China, Tunisia, Senegal, WIPO, the University of Paris Dauphine, the University of La Rochelle,…The papers may be found in the documentation. |
